well it should be 14.7 if the car is running closed loop. I have the same issue though sometimes and it goes lean when it bogs.

Brad, your VE table may be reduced too much in the 800-1200 range for your new build.

Try having Timmy increase the VE table values at 800 and 1200 by 20% or so and see if the bogging clears up.

When you do this the car will probably start a little different as well.

Kev, one more thing. the car is idling around 1,000 rpm. so the 800-1200 isnt going to do much.
should i bump it from 800-2000?

800 to 1200 should do the trick, but increasing it at 2000 isn't going to hurt it.

What you may see after this change is it may be a little tougher to start. If that is the case you'll have to find a happy medium between a 20% increase and your old values.

If this doesn't fix it let me know. I'd be happy to come up and help you figure it out.

EFI Live's Custom Operating System #5's TPS VE table is great for curing issues like this on a setup like you have.

Yeah, our 1 Bar Speed Density Custom operating systems, which has a TPS VE table, as well as Real Time Tuning is definitely something to consider Brad.

which ever you decide make sure it has real time tunning...

i made my car idle like a kitten at 700rpm with out a IAC vavle... you just have to mess with the 2 cells that the car idles in then look at what AFR it likes and set your commanded AFR to that to make sure you never change it.

mine likes 13.1.

yours may like it leaner.

Just follow this flash demo http://www.thetuningdoctor.com/HPTun...pplication.swf . RTT is noted by the letters RTT beside the custom operating system your choosing

I run the HP Tuner 3 bar SD Operating System. I've tuned both the EFI Live and HP Tuners, and it really just comes down to preference. If you already have HP Tuners I would just use the HP Tuner 1 bar speed density option.

Once you do that, we wire your wideband into your scanner and its down hill from there.

kevin - we already have an lc1 in the car wired to a gauge with the analog out 2 wire and ground run to the eio plug which stays in the car, its just a matter of setting up the pid in hp tuners

Nice.

That was the most trouble I had with my speed density tuning was getting HP Tuners and the Wideband to have the same reading.

If you've already done that then you are good to go.

I'm available only Mon-Tues (July 30, 31) of that week.

If you can get the intake before Jul 28, I do have time that weekend.

All times are GMT -5. The time now is 05:59 PM.
