Black smoke, tune problem? video! help!
All of a sudden I am getting black smoke coming out of my exhaust at idle. Car seems to run fine, it was tuned in april, Idle seems to be rough and a little lower than normal. I don't have easy access to a tuner (7 hour drive) but I am considering buying my own software. I am wondering if this may be a tune problem with the colder temps or is there a sensor going bad? What could cause it to suddenly go rich at idle? Any input would be greatly appreciated!

O2's maybe. How old are they? Pull a plug from each side and take a look at it to confirm it's running rich. Also, you might want to run some CRC Electronics Cleaner through the MAF to clean the MAF sensor wires (be very careful and don't touch them).
An injector could be stuck open, dumping fuel, too.

Can you diagnose these problems with a gm scanner? Also my shifting has been a little weird, can this be caused by faulty maf readings? I just changed plugs friday night and they did not look rich, any ideas, anyone?

I don't have any way of monitoring it, we found a fluttering fuel pressure reading at idle and 65 psi revved up a little with a walbro 255. SHop thinks it is the regulator, not exactly sure yet, will post when fixed, anyone else see this?

right, so I have scanned it again and again looking for something out of order but nothing, my fuel pressure seems a little high at the schrader valve (65 psi) and at idle is is fluttering so fast I can't read it. Could the regulator be bad?
