85mm SLP MAF resistor cut or not to cut?

85mm SLP MAF resistor cut or not to cut?
Based on my reading of other posts, I understand that it "tweaks" the signal so the computer things a different amount of air is flowing thru it, thus affecting fueling.
If I didn't want the "tweak" that it does, would cutting off the resistor make it just a plain truck MAF?
If yes, would a plain truck MAF table supply the ballpark PCM values for the MAF table in a 2002 LQ9 based 408 setup?
The car has a 2002 LS1 PCM, with a stock MAF table...
And, just to be sure. The resistor would be the one that the LEFT arrow is pointing to, correct?

Left arrow is the resistor that "calibrates" it to stock (ish) F-body
range. Right arrow is the IAT sensor. Only cut the left-arrow resistor
if you are prepared to write a tune to the PCM with a proper truck
MAF table.
If you want to make minor changes to the early-years version get
a 2.7Kohm resistor from Radio Shack and substitute it for what's in
there now (probably 2.4K, I have never taken apart the other SLP
MAF but did my "'01-'02" one. Lower resistor makes leaner, higher
makes richer.

I would leave it alone and sell it because you could probably get enough off it to get a non-messed with Truck MAF. Surely, someone else will want it that doesn't have a tuning solution on a stock-ish car.
Truck MAFs are a dime a dozen. Maybe 50 dollars. I got a stack of new ones in mint condition. They are all over ebay. The pig tails are approx 5 dollars online new in box.
I am pretty sure you could get more than 50 from your SLP maf on ebay. Make some money and get something in better condition.

I just de-soldered one side & moved it so it wouldn't touch anything(in case I want to sell it later), I put the MAF table from a VZ Holden Commodore(05LS1) in the tune, I have a 04 LS1 Holden Adventra(Commodore AWD).
I done the MAF recalibration using redhardsupra's directions, found it less 10% out in some places.
