Default 98 to 02 cluster swap for fuel gage?

Who here has done the swap? I'm going to swap mine because i switched from a 98 to 02 ecm and cant get info on a fuel segment swap for hp tuners so i bought a 02 cluster and 02 fuel pump sending unit . Does anybody have the pin swap info for the cluster? Thanks for any help ahead of time.

can't swap segments with HPT You may be able to email them at support and get them to make the swap for you if you include your file(s)

I suggest just having someone with EFI Live set up the tune for you, EFI Live can do the segment swap.

If your not gonna do a custom OS, im pretty sure EFI Live could do the segment swap and VIN change in your new PCM and you should still be able to tune it with HP Tuners afterwords

Well here is another option. Go over to HPTuner's forum and PM the user EC_Tune (Doug Stalter) and ask him very nicely By nicely, I mean offer him some love in the form of a little paypal. He can make the swap and get you a file back that you can use with your HPT.

I did the parts swap before anybody even thought about doing something really smart like swapping the segments.

It's well worth the effort either way.

Wouldn't it be easier to just flash it to an 02 vin and call it a day. Then go with the newer cluster and add in a serial data comm wire to the cluster so it will all work correctly?

Its only a couple copy and pastes if you have EFI Live, much easier then swapping the dash
