Default Can anyone send me in the right direction? EFILIVE

1500th post!
sorry.. back on topic.
After installing a MS3 cam, 110LSA, my car's running very rich at idle. It idles okay, i can drive it around and it runs great at 3000rpm (as high as i take it w/o tune) but it needs to be fixed.

I bought EFILive from wait4me, and i've got the basics down, but i need a baseline to start with so I dont keep fouling plugs. Jesse said he'd help me out with a tune, but hasn't come through for one reason or another, so i'm asking for anyone's help to tweak the VE tables to make it run better.. I just ordered an LC-1 and i learned how to put it in on the EFILive forums, so once its more driveable i can fine-tune it. Car is running a SD tune, previously a full bolton car. I'm hoping that someone has a VE table for a similar cam that they can copy-paste into mine. I couldnt find one in the repository.. Thank you much in advance.

Take a look at a few of the tutorials in the scan or tune tool help menu.

LC-1 Tutorial (which I think you've already gone thru) will help ensure your WB is hooked up right.

Fuel Pressure tutorial will help you for setting up your injector tables.

AutoVE tutorial will get you tuning in no time.

Also, www.holdencrazy.com is the EFILive tune file repository. You might be able to find a tune for a similar combo there, but I would strongly advise you start with a stock tune and follow the tutorials rather than try to fit someone elses tune to your needs.

i've gone through the tutorials several times, and have been lurking at the forums for a month now. I just want a head start so I can start logging without fouling plugs.

cheap head start.... goto VE, multiply the 400 RPM column (or row in EFIL?) by 0.65 (65%), do the 800 RPM row or column by .7 or .75 and the 1200 RPM row or column by .8.

This should be a reasonable start if you have a stock VE table with that cam. suprised it doesn't jump all over the place down there.

I thought wait4me will give you a mail order tune if you buy from him? What OS are you running I may be able to get you started.

No prob... with a cam that size on a 110lsa, you may have to reduce it more believe it or not...
