EFI LIVE/LC-1 Tuning problems, Please help, tuning experts
I am in the process of using efi live to tune my car. The problem is the LC-1 wideband o2 uses a 9 pin female connector and the laptop has the newer style serial port. the efilive plug would fit for wideband, but then we wouldnt have the use of efi live to log. How do I get these to work together so we can get the wideband input into the efi program?

I'm not sure I fully follow you. Are you saing you only have 1 USB port on your laptop?
You will need at a minimum a USB to serial converter to utilize logworks to program your LC-1. You can then use the LC-1 installation tutorial in EFIlive (scan or tune tool, help -> tutorials -> LC-1 Installation tutorial.
If you have a V2 and are running the latest beta, you can connect your LC-1 (up to 2 actually) to V2 via the serial connection.

when I try to program the lm progammer it says "please connect sensor and turn it on" it is hooked up and wired correctly. please help guys i have now spent 10hrs trying to hook this goddamn thing up
to be clear, the computer has loaded the drivers for the serial to usb adapter but when we went to program it the logworks lm tuner was not seeing the serial from the lc-1 as connected to the usb to serial adapter and finally the laptop. And this is with XP, not vista now.

The LC1 will work with default settings. Just use the Wideband analog outputs and wire them into the efilive orange connector and plug it into the handset, then you plug the handset into your laptop with the usb and the handset sends the wideband data as well as all the other obdII data to the laptop for logging.
Forget the innovate programmer unless you want to alter the default for some reason. efilive will work with the defaults anyway.

You can check this by opening up logworks and watching the A/F ratio at the same time you watch what EFI Live shows as actual A/F. 9 times of of 10 without proper calibration they will be way off (Logworks, which uses the digital out of the LC-1, will be the correct A/F of the 2)
