Need help ASAP please!
I not sure if this is the forum that this needs to be in but here I go.
I had my old ASP pulley spin of the crankshaft a while back while at the strip. I have since got everything back together but when I fired up the car it threw a Camshaft position sensor code. I reset the PCM and it still came back. I have pulled out the sensor and replaced it. Now, I have heard that when it throws a CPS code that if you hit the rev limiter once it resets both the Camshaft position sensor and the Crankshft position sensor so that they are in sync again. Is there any truth to this? If not, how do I fix this problem?
All answers are very much appreciated!

Re: Need help ASAP please!
I definately would not hit the rev-limiter. There is a crankshaft sensor relearn routine that you can have the PCM run. It's an available option with EFILive I think.
Do not hit your rev-limiter. Especially with a 10 second car!!

The relearn procedure is actually you putting your foot to the floor in neutral while the engine bounces off the rev limiter. If you do it with a scan tool, it sets the rev limiter lower for the test.
