I've already been over that, made 930rwhp. Just wondering what the ET "record" would be for a stock computer.

I'm not sure there is a limit (within reason) to what the stock computer is capable of since we have great tools like HP Tuners....

I know of a couple of 1200whp cars that still have a MAF and stock computer.... of course they should be SD... and the quality of their tune is another story.... but they run....

One of the cars ran a 9.05 @ 158mph.... but could have gone quicker with a spool, suspension mods, better tune, etc....

Wait a minute! How old are you guys? Ever heard of a distributor and carb?? That's all we had to race with back in the day.... and we did have fast cars then too... so why wouldn't a stock COMPUTER be able to control a motor no matter how much power it's making?

Stupid thread.

Dont need no b.s. post, it was a simple question. What does my age(23) have to do with your ignorance? I wasn't knocking anything with a distributor or carb, Just that most of the faster guys on here have switched over to a aftermarket ECM vs. the GM ECM. Back in the day...blah blah...

I believe Harlan went 8.20's at around 170 (?) with his old twin turbo setup with a stock PCM a couple of years ago.

I think that was with an LS6 block and stock crank too..

The computer isn't an issue, it's the OS that's on the ECM that is the issue. Both MAF and SD tables will max out on a stock OS so that's why some people install a 2bar SD OS
