Default $140 for replacement light, any other options?

my lowbeam went out on the driver side and to my dismay there is no bulb to swap out. so i go to the stealership and they said its 140 for the "capsule".
this sucks, i just want to go to autozone and buy a 2 dollar bulb

is there any other option out there?

You can buy the headlamps at Autozone for about $14 or $15 each. My advice is buy two of those and replace the pass side while you're at it so that they match. They should have the headlamp PN: look-up book there to ensure that you get the right ones.

My highbeam was out & I thought it was the bulb. Turned out to be a wiring problem. Check to see if that's the case with yours too.

Search Eurolamps (Eurolights?) I have em and they rock. I can send link through PM if you want.

88 bucks. Gets you two bulbs of your choice and 2 new housings that let you change your bulbs anytime you want.

Here's a post I made on another forum to show off the difference.

Wait a minute. $140? Aren't these sealed beam units like in the early 4th Gen-Camaro's? They're pricey at 40 or so dollars but certainly not $140; what are they selling at that price?
