Finally got my first LS1
1999 Trans Am, A4.
93k miles
Its not a WS6, but as you can see, has the Ram Air hood, has the air-box to accompany it, and the lumbar seats from a WS6.
As for the paint, the engine bay matches the color so its either an oddball with a 1998 Paint option or someone went ***** out when painting it.

Yes it does. After some digging, lumbar seats weren't part of the WS6 option. I had assumed they were since on my 88 GTA, they were GTA exclusive so I figured it carried over as a top of the line thing.

Congrats! If that is original color of car, don't paint it until you can verify that and then see build numbers for that color! If that is original color, it is a rare one. I'm just thinking out loud, just considering only a few hundred of them exist, it's an auto, so split that number in half, factor in the hypothetical numbers that have been totalled, parted out, or frankensteined = RARE! have fun

Congrats, nice T/A. The paint is a factory color. It's hard to tell the correct color tone by the picture. Most likely it is Bright Green Metallic/Emerald Green Metallic, or it could in fact be Mystic Teal (was also an available option at the time, has more of a blue hue to it though). I'm leaning towards the BGM/EGM. If it is, it's a very rare color option, I've only seen 1-2 other F-bodys with this color in person. OP, if you have time, could you take more photos of the car, perhaps in sun and in shade?

OP delivers. Thanks for all the compliments guys! Excuse the poor quality, I was inside the house and just zoomed in with my phone.
Edit : Having been staring at it all day, I can say in full confidence that it is the same Bright Green Metallic seen here http://s1354.photobucket.com/user/ls...tml?sort=6&o=6

That's good enough for me. I'd say you have the BGM/EGM color option, and not the Mystic Teal (I had high suspicions that it wasn't lol). Very rare bird, indeed. It's an amazing color when it's been fully polished out, and it's extremely likely you'll never see another one in person. Nice score, OP!

Not a problem! BTW, your paint code should be on the RPO sticker on your driver's door, lower right hand corner. I found some paint codes for you, you can double-check to verify:
Bright Green Metallic: 31/WA319D
If it were Mystic Teal Metallic, it would be: 79/WA320C (I do believe this was only on Camaros though)
I also see another option, it looks just a bit lighter than BGM, it's called Fernmist Green, code is 31/WA520F.

^That's right! After much digging through many RPO lists, I have confirmed:
-31U Primary Color, Exterior Bright Green Metallic (31/WA319D)
Listed in this link, and a few others: http://www.ls1.com/forums/f6/real-de...ur-cars-16147/ One site had the 31U RPO code listed as Arctic White, but this is incorrect. So there you have it, BGM is the winner!
Also, on my RPO sticker, and a few others I've seen- on the bottom where it says BC/CC, it should read 319D in the center of that line, but for some reason yours doesn't. I'm not entirely sure why it's not there on yours.
