Default Sad sad day for my bird

Meant to post sooner for opinions but never got around till now...last Friday going down to OCMD for cruise week with my friends, my car hydroplaned, spun around a few times, hit a small bike path metal sign, and ended up in a ditch on the side of i think was route 1 in DE about 3 hours from my home no one was injured thank god and I know cars can be replaced not lives, it's a 1998 with 56,xxx miles on it and I'm afraid it's going to be totaled the first picture was taken right after I finished detailing hours before we left

Then after the accident:

I have other pictures but they aren't really clear I believe my exhaust is bent both side skirts trims are cracked the side with the impact being the worse of sides. There's marks and scratches all over the car that are finger nail deep and the whole car will probably need paint. I have not been under the car yet but it will be soon. I'm meeting with the adjuster from geico at a body shop some time next week. But my question to you guys is what do you think will this car be totaled?

Unless your undercarriage is completely FUBAR, I doubt it.

Does it still run and drive fine?

Its sad that insurance totals these cars out over minor **** like that now. 6 years ago they were cutting F bodys in half to fix them, now you mess up one body panel and they go to the scrap yard. I hope they can fix yours being its low milage, good luck!

First, thank God no one was killed or seriously hurt.

Those look like drag radials in the rear. What's in the front - type, age, wear, etc.? Tell us about your tires. I'm concerned as to why you hydroplaned.

Let me first say I am sorry about what happened. But nobody got hurt which is great. I see you posted that you drove it around and it felt fine? if that is the case the car can and should be saved. Fix the cosmetics and the bent exhaust and hope nothing else is wrong. Nothing else should be wrong if you drive it in the state it is now.

Sorry to hear that. I just did a smilar thing in a late April snow storm here. My damage is much worse than yours and I got the repair.

I had to replace two wheels, the entire rear end, and need body work done on the front fender and bumper.

Looks like you'll need a salvaged door to replace yours and some rear fender work. It should be doo-able.

But... I'd strongly recommend approving the new door before the body shop puts it on your car. With so many people messing up their regulator rivet holes, etc. - you'll want to make sure you get a clean door to replace yours.

When you drove the car was your steering wheel straight or at least in the same position as it was before? And vibrations or shaking? It looks very savagely to me but I'd make sure your suspension is not bent or messed up.

That sucks, man. Hopefully they will fix it and get it back to you as good as new! On a side note, what suspension are you running? Your stance looks really good!

The exact reason why I check the forecast before I take my car out. I would be so upset if this happened to mine. Hope you can get her all fixed up.

Insurance will total it probably. But that doesn't mean cars not repairable it just means repairs are more than value of the car. So you can def fix it all.

Yes they are drag radials nitto 555r (yes I know first mistake) but they were fairly new I put them on the end of last summer I never had any issues in the rain I used to actually daily the car all in all they should have less than 3k on them

I'll say as it needs a lot of body work, body parts, a new door and a complete paint job, they'll probably total it. KBB values the car at about $5,700.00 and the repairs may be more than that.

If they total it, you might have the opportunity to buy it back.

No way -> Not for a low mileage WS6. The door and fender are $2-3K, tops. Unless there is some massive hidden structural damage, the OP should be fine.
