Headlight bulb out, help please
OK so here is my problem :
I had to change the low beam, passenger side, a few weeks ago because it ran out. Tonight, I just noticed that the damn thing went out once again !
Something that might be important to find the solution to this issue is every time the bulb blew out, it was raining (which is very rare back here)
Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks everyone.

Closely check the harness for any damage, rust or corrosion. They're pretty temperamental since they don't actually lock onto the light like you would expect.
Worst case scenario, you buy a new harness ( replacements are made by dorman, they're like $13 I think ) and a new headlight. Do yourself a favor and get the bulb grease they sell at the counter, that stuff actually works. Ask me how I know...
Edit : It would also help to know what year your car is. For all we know, it could be a 71 or a 2002.

Sorry, forgot to mention it is a 2002 ws6.
I checked the wires where it connects to the sealbeam, I didn't noticed any rust. I sprayed a little bit of wd40 just in case. Nothing seems to work. The high beam works perfectly, not the low beam.

Ok thanks a lot.
I was thinking about buying a new unit and put grease on the connections and tape the wires. (At least the ones we can see right there)
Thanks for your help, let's resolve that annoying issue.

We had some problems a while back with some Sylvania bulbs from Mexico blowing in the first few days of operation. I haven't seen any like threads lately, but that doesn't mean there isn't still some bad stock out there.
Another common problem is the contacts/plug. It's a design that likes to become loose. If you bend the prongs on the bulb inwards, they will grab on the the socket a little tighter and can resolve connection problems.
Have you confirmed that the bulb is indeed blown and that you don't have a connection/wiring problem? If so, how many bulbs have you been through recently?

I did a quick search and found 10-ish other threads like this. But its been a few years since this issue has come up. I would have hoped it would be gone by now.

OK so far so good.
After installing the new headlight, putting the bulb grease and washing the whole car, everything is still working ...
We'll see how long this one will last.
