Howdy, been a member for a while just never posted.

She was originally a 1967 Firebird 326 Auto, well that’s all changed. I started doing some suspension work on it back in 2014 I realized the car was not as solid as it looked. At least not for my liking and the whole scope of the build changed.

Currently have my car on a chassis jig to replace almost every panel except the skeletal structure and firewall. I’m doing all the work myself so it’s taking a good bit of time but at the end of the day I’ll have built my own car.

New motor is a 12.5:1 pump gas 408 that is currently under construction. Callies Compstar crank, Callies rods, custom Diamond pistons Texas Speed 2.5 ported 243’s custom camshaft similar to a GM ASA cam, a worked over Edelbrock super victor, Carb and GMPP distributor set up. No major power goals, I’m not trying to break records, I’m just trying to build a very reliable motor for road racing. A few other little trick items in the motor but they dont really do enough to mention.

Awesome original color. Prob my favorite classic color besides black. There were two great shades along those lines for the 67 firebird.
Cameo Ivory and Montego Cream. Mayfair Maize could be tossed in there as well, but it's a bit more yellow. Whats your final color going to be?

I’m keeping it the original color, interior/engine bay/underside of the car will all be painted NH01 (championship white) as a tribute to my Honda roots, I’ve always had muscle cars but did some fun stuf with the hondas and still support a few race teams today.

Plus white works well with the light yellow.

More parts were at my door when I got home today. Canton rear sump road race / drift oil pan, pick up tube and billet filter head adapter. Just waiting on a few more bits including the melling oil pump and a brace from improved racing for the pick up tube. I need to figure out the crank scrapper and baffle on my 4.00" stroke and then assemble the oiling system on my 408ci

I got a bunch of new parts, Big thanks to Improved Racing for helping me choose a crank scraper and windage tray and also selecting a good oil pump for my set up. I fitted the Canton oil and with all of the parts in the motor (some modification was needed to clear the baffle but nothing major.

Some parts bolted onto the motor to check for clearance and now I can drop it into the frame and make sure everything works together.

Also finished my custom 4th gen headers modified for 1st gen subframe with v-bands. These are ceramic coated white.
