Default What The Hell?

i dont know what the hell is wrong with my 98 firebird but for some reason the driverside door lock doesnt work and when i open the door the radio doesnt turn off and the courtesy lights dont come on. what could be wrong? please help me!!!

sounds like the car is not recognizing any input from that door. it is probabally some wiring issues. try taking the door off and look for anything out of the usual if you can not find anything it might be computer related.

Yeah... Sounds like it might be something wrong with the detection of whether the door is open/closed, since that's a common factor in your problems

well i didnt check all of the fuses but i did check the ip dimmer switch which i think is in charge of my problem and it looked ok. what else could it be? any other fuses? btw the door lock doesnt work now either!

This is a double post. Since the advice you got in your other post apparently didn't work, I'd recommend taking it to a dealership.

I recommended checking the fuses, but you said you only checked some of them. Check all of them. There are fuses in the end of the dashboard, and under the hood. I hope that your problem is only a fuse, because that is a cheap fix.
