Since you're willing to modify the model, you could go with a '93-'97 Formula model and tweak it to look like a '98 up version. You'd have to get really creative with the nose, but I think it could be done.

I had the same problem, I have a mini clone for each of my cars. The only one I cant find is one for my 97 WS6. I am thinking of buying the 97 TA model and buying the 98 WS6 model and modifying the hood to putty conform to the 97 model. I have done this before but with a 67 Chevelle pro street model I built.

I have a similar situation. I have the '98 WS6 model, but I need to make a non-ram air hood to match my 'bird. I bought that model back in the Spring of 2000. I've just been to busy to stop and do it.

That shouldn't be too hard.

My little brother has a homemade vacuforming machine, so I might have him make me a non-ram air hood mold and vacuform it out of plastic for me. That's if he's not booked up with his usual Star Wars stuff. He did make this for me though for my real 'bird....it's a pcm cover. I just shot it with red paint last weekend.

Sorry to steal your thread, but since you asked...

I've got an unfinished one here at the house. I came up with the design that I wanted, and my brother built the mold. He made a bunch to sell earlier this year, and this is the last one I've got. It's yours for $30.00 shipped. pm me if you're interested.

I'm sure I can get him to make up a few more if the mold is still good.

Here is an install page that I started. I'll update it further once I'm finished up with the cover and it's installed: http://www.scottsrides.com/smr00tapc...r_install.html

He buys it by the sheet, and for the life of me I can't remember exactly which kind of plastic it is....I wanna say polystyrene.

He found the directions for the vacuform machine online somewhere. His is built with a little electric grill and a Shop Vac. It's crude but works great. He's done some really cool Boba Fett and Darth Vader costuming stuff with it.

All the kits I've seen are for skill level 2.

I want better attention to detail and a higher level of finish.

I was hoping somebody knew of a level 3 kit (advanced) out there.

Wow, you're already good at building level 2 models? Boy am I jealous. I'm scared to get a model that needs that engine thingy assembled.

Wow, that's the kind of detail (or more) I'm looking for. I love to find a level 3 kit.
