Default Trans ams & t-tops?

I thought I was queen of the search function, but I can't find anything

Do all trans ams have t-tops? I can't say as I have ever seen a hardtop.

p.s. (while I'm in this section) any of you want to part with your formy/trans ams? I have been scouring autotrader/this site and can't find a suitable match...I need an 01-02, 6 speed formy/ta...hardtop preferred but not necessary...under $18k, within 700 miles of Charlotte, NC...PM me

Pretty sure the only 4th gen bird you could get in a hardtop was a Formula or V6.

LS1 Trans Ams were all t-top cars. There are some factory freak pics floating around such as these....

The white 'bird appears in the Pontiac 2000 Product Information binder that I have on file. It was a dealership item used to describe the 2000 models offered by Pontiac.

The tin sign features a red ram air car....hardtop with 16" wheels marked with WS6 center caps. In real life, the center caps on the 16" and 17" wheels are not interchangeable.

In 2002 all Formulas recieved T-tops for the last year of production all TA's had T-tops unless it was opted for the Vert, the last year for the Formula hardtop was 2001.

you could get an LT1 car w/o T-tops.... but having a trans am without t-tops is like having a 70s ta w/o the screaming chicken on the hood, it just doesnt look right

I wonder if the cars PICTURED even had LS1's, maybe they were LT1 cars with LS1 front ends for photoshoots?

thanks. i try... comes from keeping it covered while its at work and parking it in an underground parking garage (i did have a garage last year when that pic was taken) but for the last year or so i had to park it in a carport, so it stayed covered when i wasnt driving it..

its a bitch to hide swirls on a black car..

oh and i just got the front nose replaced (in that pic last year it was about 1 week out of paint, the bumpers and gfx were redone) but in march of this year a car wash ran it into something and screwed up the paint on the front bumper so i had to have that replaced and resprayed.

could be.... iremember back in 1996 or so when the LS1 vette was being made, they showed some experimental Z28 camaros with huge bulky unpainted hoods and said they were testing "the new vette engine"
