Default Question about hard tops

I am about to be in the market for a bird and wanted to know where I can find out what years hard tops were produced and how many. I was looking for an '01 thru '02 based on feedback from a current owner, but I don't see anything wrong with the '98's and up. Thanks for the help.

I don't think there were any hardtops in 02 since T-Tops were standard on Formula's that year. It may have been that way in 01 as well though I'm not 100% positive.

Keep in mind that you'll be limited to the Formula body style. There weren't any hardtop Trans Ams produced from '98-'02.

556 Hardtops built in `98 and I have one of them.
Like Y2K TA said Formula's are the only V8 Bird available as a HdTp.
Formula's also account for about 10% of Total Firebirds built from `98-`02 so they will be harder to find but I still see them for sale on occasion.

Wow so I had one of 556 before I converted mine to T-Tops. Interesting. Speaking of production numbers does anyone know how many Formula's were made in 98 Black A4, fully loaded? Is there a way to for me to break the numbers down that far?

Formula's own all!

I have a 99' hardtop 6speed and ive been unable to determine exactly how many were made in 99. i know 98 was the most common year for hardtops...the number drastically dropped by half i beleive in 99 (26x or so??)..even fewer in 2000 (1xx) and none in 2002.
