Firehawk with a maple leaf in logo?
WTF is that? I saw a black ,early 4th gen firehawk the other day with purple "firehawk" script on the side and a Canadian Maple leaf in the same color in the logo....is this stock? Maybe canadian exported Firehawks only, or aftermarket?

'Mapleleaf' refers to the cars built/sold for/in Canada.
But I don't believe the got the decals originally, so maybe someone simply added it.

And I don't know if the factory knows what car is going to become a Firehawk, and if it'll be sold in Canada or America. So I'm sure those are a custom job in some way. Depending on what year, SLP or ASM may have put them on after the fact, since they'd have a better idea where the cars were going.

Okay, let me re'phrase that then, ...
'Mapleleaf', in the Firehawk world, means it is a car built for use in, or sold in, Canada. Yes it makes a difference as the cars would get a different speedo cluster.
But I believe/agree, someone has simply added the mapleleaf decals to the car for THAT reference, as they did not get it from SLP when built.
And yes, the factory would know if it's going to become a Firehawk, because of the RPO code given at the time of construction. (At least that was true in the late 4th gen cars.)

I wish I had taken a pic now, didn't think much of it other than being a bit of an oddity when I saw it. I've searched google and other internet locations adn can't even find aftermarket or custom logos or personal car owner's pics with that logo. As I said, it looked very authentic, just purple rather than the usual colors and had a maple leaf .The car was an early 4th gen, black w/ ebony interior, from what I could tell. Wheels looked to be stock, as well as the rest of the car, so , no it wasn't some refugee from JC Whitney catalog. I guess I'm interested now because I've owned and admired TAs,firehawks, and Firebirds for years and know that there are some rare and oddball factory cars out there.

I just searched the web and found nothing. I find a lot that mentions the "FireHawk (Maple Leaf)" but none of the pics shows the logo you are refering to. I think it may just be a term designated to the FireHawks destined to say "Its Aboot Time" So I think it was a little custom work done by the owner to make it a little unique especially since its now in the U.S. It makes a neat conversation peice.
See hes in the U.S. with a Canadian FireHawk so he wants people to know that its not just a regular FireHawk. And this is just my guess.
