Default This may sound dumb, but lets see where this takes me...

I have a 2000 Formula with Borla Exhaust, LS6 intake, SLP lid, and Ram Air.

This is what I want.... TO BE LOUD! lol

Okay, so I'm a girl, and I want to be as loud as I can be. The fastest? Don't have to be. But the loudest? I want to see how much I can get.

Any suggestions as to where I should go next to help the sound? Money is not really an issue, but I want to stay NA.

I'm originally a Mustang girl who's throwing in her Blue Oval towel for some Fbody fun. I already have a sick 99 GT, which will drown my Formula any day. That needs to change.

Help!

You could sell your Borla and get a LM1. It's amost like straight pipes, very lud with longtubes and ORY. True Duals can be even louder, especially when dumped before the axles. Certain cams will actually make it louder, too. My LPE GT-11 made my car a hell of a lot louder.

LTs and straight pipe. but if inspection is an issue, which it is being i also live in NJ, try LTs, TSP catted Y, and original or LoudMouth 1. its what i have, and i get nothing bu compliments on my sounds. the high-flow cats will drown out some of the rasp, while still being so loud and sweet sounding you wont ever turn the radio on again.

longtube headers, LM1 wouldn't hurt either. LM1+longtubes+heads&cam would be very loud. just not sure if i would get rid of borla since you already have it for a LM1. a lot of people find it obnoxious because its raspy. i'm using SLP LTs, no cats, and a LM1 with a H/C 402. its very loud, thats not always a good thing.

This pretty much sums it up...if you dont have to worry about inspection; LTs to straight pipes.

Thanks everyone! I'm online now looking everything up.

I'm going to stick with the Borla only because I did get them brand new for Christmas, and it would be a total waste to sell them with only about maybe 50 miles on them. lol

Wink

Leave the exhaust tips and muffler installed to give legal look.
Now run a GMMG Downpipe just behind the trans til about 6-8" ahead of the rear end.
No pipe to the muffler intake.
Loud as 'ya wanna be when on the gas, and nice and mellow when your off, or nursing it.
You'll likey!....
