If you have the regular Firebird/Formula (low rise/molded into hatch spoiler) then yes the Trans Am/WS6 spoiler is different and you need the whole new hatch and swap it over.

My buddy scanned mine once and I think it said the front wheels were causing it (sensors, who knows). Wonder if mine is on for the same reason as yours, or did it actually come up and say "Brake lamp switch"?

Yeah on my 94 Z28, that light has been on since I bought the car last year and the cruise doesn't work either.

Looks like I'll be swapping the switch and hopefully it works

i had abs inop problems on my car a few years ago and i had it in the shop for plugs/wires/etc and asked them to clean the sensor (one time i had gotten a flat and after the blowout the abs was fine for like 2 months so i figured it was a dirty sensor) and they said my front rotors were warped a bit and my front pads had like 20% left and the rears were @ 30%

i had them put new rotors and pads on all around (less than or about the same cost as the front hub w/ abs sensor would have been FWIW) and have had no abs inop problems since (although every once in a while when the battery would get low after the car sat for a while, the abs inop would come immediatly on when the car was started, then you'd run the car for 1-2 mins, shut it off, restart and no more abs inop) my original abs inop problem was kind of scary..you'd be driving and apply the brakes and on a clear dry road the low trac would come on, the pedal would get rock hard and then go down to its normal positon, then get hard again and come back up slightly... after the 3rd time of doing this, the ABS INOP would come on...it actually increased stopping distance when it'd happen, for a while i'd actually put the car in neutrol and intentionally stop short just in case it happeend so i wouldnt hit anyone

Oddly enough (but probably due to having an ECM and not a PCM), my cruise works fine.

Not surprising. I have heard some GMs cruise control will stop working if your third brake light it out. It really is a good idea, but the problem is, if your cruise stops working you need to know to check you brake light.
