Does anyone know if they will offer the 6 speed on the GT? I know you can get it in the GXP.

From everything I have heard/read the answer is no. I'm sure some aftermarket tuner some day will offer a swap kit.

No it won't be offered. From what I know an m6 isn't compatible w/ DOD and without it (DOD) there's the possibility of having a guzzler tax.

Well, I can tell you I would buy a 6 speed GT before I bought a GXP for the 6 speed.

I wonder what all it would take to convert one to a manual? Thats really the only reason Id want a GXP, the rest of the stuff would eventually be swapped out anyway for better suspension, full exhaust, and a built motor. I dont have anything to do this weekend I may have to pay the dealer a visit

they were supposed to do it in 09 but they cancelled that plan last summer, keep your eyes peeled for 2010 though.

They can't get the DOD to work smoothly with a 6 speed. There only option was an LS3, therefore the only way you can get a 6 speed is to get the GXP. That is the reason for 2 different V8s for the Camaro also.
