Smile drive

Hi, if you are going be driving up here in the near future, the weather sucks. It can turn real bad in a hurry. Not allot of snow right now but that can change in a hurry.

Yea weather can get messed up quick! Its good right now though surprisingly no snow really this winter. Im curious to know why drive all the way up here for a dyno tune for just a CAI. Thats a long drive just for that. I can understand if it was full bolt ons or head/cam etc.. Anyway have a nice drive and should be fun Post numbers and let us kow how it went

yea its a very long way but i had some well i won't say bad but rought dealings with speed inc on a motor thats once again came apart so i want to actually meet the livernois bunch before i fork out the $$$ to let them do a exhaust DOD with the 1C cam valve job and maggy charger ....... and if all goes well this will take place about a year from now so if this little tune goes well and stuff i'll feel better about them doing my big setup .... The way i see it Livernois is next to none with the G8s i'v ebeen paying close attention to there customers cars and i'm liking everything so far so thats the main reason i want to go all that way for a tune on a baisicly stock set up cause soon a nuff they will see this Blue 4 door fury again especally since this cat in the county next to me got a dang G8 GT firehawk :l can't have them comin in pickin on me just jokin but thats very simular to the set up i want so he just fueled my fire so to speak i'll post up my results also

Why not do the mail order tune from them? I've been pretty happy with mine and didn't have to put 1000 miles on my car to get it You even get to keep the cable so you can go back to stock anytime you want or they can retune it if you get additional mods. I'm sure the cost of gas alone would cover the difference.

the thing is that you dont get the TM tune if not on the rollers...plus a true dyno tune is better because everycar are not the same. But mail tune are good if youre really far away..

I did 1500miles to get a tune at TTP, but I took the occasion to have a nice road trip and visit NYC and NJ

the gas eats up the difference between the dyno and the mail order tune i don't have a lab top to scan and e mail my tune back + like i say i wanta meet them before i do high $ stuff with them cause of my dealings with speed inc and really 1500 little ol miles < fun of the road trip time is nearing this weekend i gotta big bike race in the state next to me also

well i guess it did good made 335.something rwhp and 353.something torque .....
I was real happy with livernois taking thre time and getting it were they wanted it.

Kill Story on the way home i met a white camaro SS 2010 he passed me going a little faster than me about 85-90 were as i was crusing at 74mph . but i couldn't help it so i tucked in behind him then he slowed up got beside me and told me i didn't wanta try it you know cause its a new camaro kinda thing but i told him i did wanta try it so we slowed down to about 60 and both hit it about the same time i pulled him about a lenght and a half from 60 - 110 and then from 110-14+ he closed the gap and put about a car on me

anyways i can't wait to get some times with the car it was shifting hard very hard up north but not so hard now ??? weather maybe not sure

overall i am happy and can't wait to take it a step up with a DOD delete and exhaust .....

Strong results! Nice kill story too, but its weird that the guy came back in the end...I guess hew was manual and your auto is slower on the really high end. But I thought G8s really had really good top end. Maybe the weight made the loss at high speed.

Cant wait to get my hands on my tuned G8!!
