Talking The Gforce rear coil over kits are now ready to order

The long awaited rear coil over kits are now ready to order.

You've seen the threads where Kingsize has been testing them out for me.
They have worked great for him. More tire clearance, better traction off the line and less wheel hop from what Jason has said.
Best thing is this kit only requires you to drill 2 holes down through the trunk and that's it.
Pretty much a bolt on kit.

This thread goes over the installation, Kingsize did a very good job on covering the install and testing.
http://www.ls1gto.com/forums/showthread.php?t=339549

The brackets give you 3 different ride height adjustments and solidly mounted to the frame.

All the parts are laser cut and CNC machined + tig welded.
We'll be welding up 10 sets this week so if you want a set, jump in line. I expect this to be a very popular item for the GTO community.

There are several ways to buy the kit.

$949.
- The complete kit with the QA1 double adjustable coilovers, springs (either 125 lb or 150 lb depending on your car weight), upper brackets, lower shock adapters and all hardware.

$709.
- The complete kit with the QA1 Single adjustable coilovers, springs (either 125 lb or 150 lb depending on your car weight), upper brackets, lower shock adapters and all hardware.

$413.
- The complete kit with QA1 Economy Street shocks (no springs), upper brackets, lower shock adapters and all hardware.
This option is for the guys not wanting a full coilover but would rather keep the OEM coil spring and just move the shock inboard with our kit.

$279.
- The bracket kit and hardware without the coil overs for you guys wanting to get your own coil overs.
I've had several guys ask about running this bracket kit with a regular shock and keeping the OEM coil springs to gain tire clearance, it works great for this as well.

Here a couple installed pics from the Kingsize installation and testing thread.

Thanks
Chris

For anyone serious about drag racing their GOATS, this setup should be on your "must get" list.

Once you get them dialed in they daily drive great.
I've had a set on a customers car for a few months now he just loves this set up.
He even says the car hooks better on the street with the coil overs.

Ok guys, I've added several options to the coil over kit. You can now order it with QA1 Double adjustable coil overs, QA1 Single adjustable coil overs and even an option for QA1 Economy Street shocks for the guys just wanting to run a shock in our bracket kit so you can keep the OEM springs, this option knocks the price clear down to $413.
Take a look and let me know what you think.

Were starting to get some great feedback on these coilover kits. Everybody loves them! Excellent ride quality, lots of adjustment and they look nice

Thanks
Chris

How is this helping with the squating our cars are known for? I've got the pedders 5/16" raise with the big bore shocks and can still tuck the wheel. Would love something that I dont have the 4x4 look and can hook well and not tuck so bad. I have every bushing done to this car. I know I'm just waiting for the kit your designing for the front b/c I dont like how close the struts sit next to tires. Just sucks I have a full sususpension and already thinking of swappng it all out.....again. I'd definatly drop the $900 if you included your modified control arm in the package.

This kit looks awesome. The install looks easy as all get out too.

You will most likely have an order from me come early Feb.

How much clearance does this add for tires?

You are going to need his modified control arm and mini tubes or a BFH to actually get a bigger tire back there.

Modified control arm??? Linky?

Chris,

The threads got boogered up on my lower shock mount drivers side. Could I just use a long bolt and nut for that side?

Pretty sure it will at least a small amount of clearance over stock, if not you can grind part of the control arm away easy.

Same thing happened to me, I just used a long high grade bolt, washers and used threadlocker on the nut.

They aren't posted on his site yet. If you search over on www.ls1gto.com for them you can find them. I was chatting with chris tonight that with his modified control arm, its part tubular, and his coil overs you could run a larger rear tire with out a mini tub. The only thing you would contact before the fender well would be the old spot the spring sat. But running his coilovers you could cut that out to give you added clearence. Im thinking a 305 would fit easy and possibly a 315 with a little massaging of the inner fenders.

I have 315's on stock 18's that are stretched to 18X11. I recently upgraded to this coilover setup from Chris. Wow, what a great kit. Easy install, muti adjustable and my car rides so much better now.

I have made several 100+ high speed passes and it handles great. Launches straight as an arrow too!

thumbs up and thanks Chris for bringing another great item to market for the GTO
