May I ask why you want this cam? I used to run it in my '98 Z. It produced low torque and so did a few others here.

well i want a cam that isnt so big like the mega death, i want a cam that sounds somewhat mild but still a decent gain in power. the MTI X1 Cam seemed pretty quite for the most part.
what would you recommend?

headers are needed to benefit from a larger cam. You'll be kicking yourself if you opt otherwise.. not to mention you'll miss about 20 more hp the LT's give the motor.
Texas Speed has good grinds for the motors. 228R, Torquer, Torquer V2. 231/237

my suggestions, doesn't necessarily mean you don't have to go or that particular cam won't work for you. Our cars are our way of expressing our individuality.. some like them stealthy..some prefer some chop.. some, love it nasty. All the best in your pursuit on deciding on a cam that suites you, and only you, follow ones advice, but in the end.. it's your vehicle.. MTI, LG, TSP, Vengeance, etc.. have a ball man.

yea i would def go with headers first, and another good cam that is mild and produces good results is the streetsweeper HT. once i save up enough money thats the cam im going to go with along with a stall. i found a package for that cam, comes with everything you need pushrods, timing pulleys, and all for like 980 some dollars

you could get the cam as a custom grind if it's not around anymore. StreetSweeper is a nice choice. With a stall don't go to small..unless you've got money to burn

If I were you I'd go at least 3000. I run my GTO as my daily driver also, and I'm running a custom spec Circle-D 3300 with a 2.0 str. Previously, in my Trans/Am I ran a Yank 3600. I like the Circle-D a lot better, as it doesn't kill my mileage all that bad. 3500 honestly to me would be the maximum I'd run on a daily driver.
Good Luck
RJT
**Circle D sells them with custom spec stall for 725.00 or there abouts, a 15-20k cooler for about 120.00, and with an option for a free one-time re-flash within the first year of purchase**

stay away from TCI if u can. Vigilante is good stuff, as is Yank, but their sorta on the higher end in price ranges. I've had no issues with my Circle-D over 4000 miles and she's pulling hard and fast.
