k&N cold air intake
has anyone had any problems with their cold air intake? is the oil from your filter getting on your mAS and throwing false codes? or is the oil gumming up your throttle body? and who has the vararam air filter and how do you like it?

im runnung the vararam setup on mine and like it. there are a million different opinions on it though it seems. i would agree with the statement that the oil is probably engine oil in the tb and intake. these cars dont have pcv valves on them therefore a catchcan in my opinion is a must.

After buying a new oil type filter or after re-oiling it's a good idea to lay on a towel in the sun and spend a day tanning. If you have an electric oven that can hold low temps you can do the same thing in there, just keep the temp like 150*-175*

i let it dry for as long as the instructions say. i follow the instructions to the letter so after the oil i let it sit for bout 20 or 30 min outside then put it on but i reckon it should stay out drying longer. it wouldnt hurt anything to just not put any oil on it would it? or would it beat the purpose of having the K&N filter?

that wouldnt mess up the pleats or the wires running through the CAI?
