I have a buddy whos girlfriend is looking to upgrade her 05 GTO a little bit. She wants a cam but its her DD so not something that is crazy aggressive. Figured Id try and help find something.

I asked her what her power goals were, never really got an answer. I figure 400whp with full exhaust would be easy with a mild cam.

How is the TSP MS3 cam for this application?

Is it an auto or M6 transmission? Lets start there.

I DD my cam only ls1 6 speed gto and I have the MS3. No problem driving it everyday but she would probly rather have something more like a 228r or 233/239 from tsp.

You don't have to go that big to reach those goals. Something mild like a 220 or 224 should hit that quite easily. I did 400rwhp with a GT2-3(207/220) and that is pretty small, even for a LS1.

I would look into a EPS cam has some smaller grinds that make power and are very reliable and driveable would be good with a good tune.

I got the same cam and full exhaust and i'm putting 380tq/385hp down in my LS1. The cam itself is definitly a sleeper cam.
