Default Widest Wheel and Offset for agressive fitment

Hi guys,

I'm new here, from Australia. I have a Holden Monaro cv8R and looking to buy a set of wheels from the US. Everyone down here runs thin wheels and I'm looking to set mine apart and go for a jap look (wide wheel and lowest offset possible).

I've had no luck attaining info on the aussie forums so thought i might ask on here.

I'm happy to lip/flare my guards and also planning on lowering the car after i buy wheels.

Any help would be appreciated. And i've attached a pic of my car for those interested!

Here's a link to Weld Racings wheel sizes for the GTO.
http://weldracing.com/aitdownloadabl...itfile_id/250/

I have the 17x10s in the rear with a 58 offset 7.8 backspace.

Cheers for that. I was hoping for similar fitment to this. However, without tubbing (if that coupe has tubbing)

Only my fenders are rolled and the 275x40x17s fit with no issue.

An option I used was to get my rear wheels widened. I have the 17"s and widened them to 9" (I could have gone 9 1/2"). With 5mm wheel spacers to bring them back out a bit and mildly rolled fenders I put 285/40/17 tires on and dropped the car 20mm. With the inner and outer control arm bushings replaced and the above mentioned mods I can squat all the way to the bump stops with no rubbing even with aggressive cornering.

I’m running 18x13 Forgestar M14s with Yokohama 330/710/18 slicks all around. Stock 6.5 backspace... they stick out about 6” on either side 😉 #widebody
