05 E40 LS2 Nitrous ?
#5
The reason I'm asking is because I haven't found much about people tuning for
nitrous. I have EFI Live and they only have a 2 bar OS for the E40 ECM, however
they have have a Nitrous OS for the older LS1B ECM and the newer E38 / E67.
I've been told to spray a dry shot into the MAF and since the MAF thinks it's
extra air, I could simply remove timing in the higher airflow range.
Thanx

a better question would be what are you having a problem with or maybe what are you trying to learn or figure out from your question... yes people have nitrous on LS2 engines...and 1's and 3's...and so on.
if you want to know if tuning can be done to accomadate for nitrous, then yes it can be. wet or dry nitrous kits can be used.

I really like the LS1 Custom operating system that EFI Live
has for nitrous, you can pull timing only when the kit is on.
That way you can have one tune that is maximized for NA
and N2o. I suppose I could create two tunes and flash in
when I'm ready to hit it.

well with my car i use hp tuners to tune with. i only run one tune. when i use my nitrous kit, i flip a switch that is hooked to my engine coolant temp sensor. it gounds out the sensor making the ecm think the car is overheating. when this happens, the ecm pulls timing. with hptuners, you can set how much timing is pulled for this. the switch is wired so that if i do not have the switch in the proper position(pulling timing) then my kit will not be activated therefore protecting the engine.
