Default I need the GTO owners expert opinion about buying an 04 model

I found one for an insane price. Its a silver with black leather 2004 and its an automatic. The car only has right at 20k miles. I'm thinking of picking this thing up because it's such a good deal and trying to flip it. What could I realistically get for this car?

I sold my 2004 black gto last month for $10,500. It had 104k miles on it and was an automatic. Would someone pay say $13,000 for this 2004 I'm looking at buying? Its perfect inside and out

Paid 11.5 for my 2005 silver/black A4 with 59k on it. 13k seems do-able, since finding good low mileage GTO's is getting very hard.

What the hell! I can't even find a 2004 with 100k+ miles for $11,500! I don't understand where you guys found all of these awesome deals....

yeah i dont know about flipping it. To me it may be too much work. As far as buying it and driving it say i would say definitely a good deal. I picked mine up 4 months ago and its a 04 6 speed and had 52K. picked it up for 11.7K out the door. I thought that was a pretty fair price with the decent mileage. I was originally looking for a ls2 but i have enjoyed a nice clean low mileage 04 so far. Not to mention ls1 parts are a little more common and things to find as the vehicle ages.

Paid 14k for my 04 w/ 41k miles on it. That was back in 08' though and the car was bone stock down to the filter when i bought it. At the time that was as cheap as you could get these cars. It's sad to see them going for 10k and under these days.

On another note there is a silver 04 6spd here in town with only 16k on the clock and the dealership has 17,999 on the window. Looks to be all original but i would jump all over the one the OP is talking about.

When I was looking at them it seems the stealerships here were charging like 15-18k on GTOs that the or more miles than the one I got. Private party is where it's at.

My goat was from a dealership with 3.91's, Kooks 1 7/8, intake, ls7 clutch, and exhaust. I paid 10k out the door after tax and everything. 130k miles.

2005 w/ 70k+ miles...$11,900 http://www.ls1gto.com/forums/showthread.php?t=442766

2004 w/ 80k miles for $10k: http://www.ls1gto.com/forums/showthread.php?t=440701

Mine was actually listed for $15k. I saw the guy re-list it for $14k. Gas was well over $4 at the time, and no one was bidding on it, although it was in good condition. I actually tried to buy it for $13.7, but he couldn't provide the right Dealer paperwork to my Credit Union, so I let it go (I think he only had a couple car's, a young start-up dealer, I guess). Then it was listed again, and I asked him if he would be willing to just sell it as Private party, if I bid on his auction. I bid at the last second, and got it for $11.5, after I tried to pay $13.7 lol. In all fairness, under the trunk carpet, I can tell the rear was swung out, and clipped something, and I was missing the fog light wiring harness.

I flew 1000+ miles to Missouri, and drove it back. That drive was fun for a few hours.

I would have never done this... $10k is WAY too much for 130k miles, even out here in Cali, that's insane.

To the OP, I would def pay $13k for an 04 with 20k miles. I bought my 04 with 23k for just over $15k, I would have loved to knock another few grand off!
