Default Project GTO

I am currently building a tube framed car and keeping pieces of a 2004gto for the project. Will start a build thread when I get a little farther along. Does anyone here have a GTO they're parting out? I need some parts.

I will be using the stock read end. Has anyone here converted the rear to a coil over set up?

I've been on there some. Doesn't seem to get very much use, at least not like ls1tech. Plus this project is only a portion GTO. Mostly just some parts from one.

There are numerous options for rear-coil-overs. BC, Mav-man, GeForce...

I will be fabbing a custom rear subframe so I plan to run the LCA and an aftermarket coilover. The car will be a full tube frame with GTO accents eccentially

G-force makes a rear coilover kit. It has a bracket that moves the coilover further in. They also have notched control arms and everything to do a mini tub. They're local to me. I've seen one with the mini tub and it looked good.

As I said on the other site, better rear control arms would be an interest.

Also, G-Force offers a rear coilover kit that mounts the coilover to the shock mount on the control arm.

Rear control arm redesign is on the list of to dos. I want to get the rear mocked up first.

I definitely plan to run coilovers on all four corners.

Car is getting closer to stripped. Tubing will begin shortly. Need to brace the roof to the floor pan so that the rear can be removed.

Where are you located? Interested in selling any stock parts not being used?

Update ****

Finally got the GTO gutted and braced. I have it roughly cut where I want it and will begin tubing in the next week or so. I'm still waiting on a set of 1.75" ring roller dies.

Tubing has officially started. Bent up the main hoop last night. I will post some pictures after a little more progress.

Has been slow, but I finally got some more tubing installed. I have been collecting parts. These radius tubes are super fun....
