I ran a 5.50 at 260mph on street tires.... Oh wait, realistic.
I've read people doing high 12's at 108-109 before. Personaly, their are so many factors involved in getting the "fastest" time, it would be nearly impossable to say that it can or can not be done. Mainly the DA, track conditions, wind velocity and direction, driver skill, etc will make up the brunt of how fast you are. In good air, i've ran low 13's with so-so traction and decent shifts. I wasnt trying to beat the car silly since it is my daily driver afterall. Clearly high 12's are not out of the question in stock trim with good air and a real good launch.
If I wanted to drag race mine frequently, I would have bought an automatic which is much less rough on the drivetrain and considerably smoother off the line. The fact it also shifts quicker than a human can shift a manual, without lifting, doesnt hurt either.

...I thought I'd seen a 12.7 somewhere though.

maybe i'm wrong, but i don't consider drags to be a mod, because they are street tires and not a true slick. I think with tires you are trying to get the power, which came from the factory, to the ground. Nittos are the same size factory tire and are legal. I think once you began to bolt on things are different, but manny people still consider bolt ons (exhaust, CAI,) to fine and will still call their car stock.

Hey guys, since this thread is going, i think you should check out Mustangforums.com / kill section, because they seem to think that all GTOs are slow and none run 109, or can even break into the 12s. I am Fatman over there.
