you can loose significant weight unless you do major weight reduction...just the basic's and you might get 100 total lbs out of it but not much more. remove the front sway bar for track use but put it back on ASAP cause your handleing goes out the window when you take it off.

here's what i've done....
- pulled y-brace (-13 pounds)
- pulled jack/spare (-30 or 35 pounds)
- lightweight holden skidplate (-12 pounds)
- longtubes in place of manifolds (-10 or 15 pounds or)
- boyd wheels (-30 pounds total)
I've saved a shade under 100 pounds so far.

I don't think i'd do that on a streetcar.....

well....true enough....
If you don't miss the rear seats, a seat delete will chop out another 40 or 50 pounds (with the belts)
I'll probably do that sooner or later...nobody sits in the back of my car.

plastic is just as light as the carbon stuff in most cases. also I'm not sure you'll shave alot on these cars with a hood swap. Really and truly if your wanting to really cut it the front seats are very heavy.

This battery will remove weight, as it is considerably lighter. Taking weight off the front end really helps finding traction for the rear tires. Bob
