Default Kooks Headers

Ok So Im New To The Ls1. I Have Had Nothing But Lt1's And 3.8 Camaros And Firebirds. Now I Have An 04 Gto. I Know Nothing About What Kind Of Headers Are Good For The Ls1. I Need Some Help. I Have A Buddy Whos Owns Street Strip Perf0rmance Here In Texas And He Said That Kooks Custom Headers Are Really High End And Good For Power, And That There Are Lots Of People Out There That Have Lost Power On The Slp's. Is There Anyone On Here That Has Them, If So What Do You Think Of Them As Far As Power Fit And Looks. I Dont Mind Spending Good Money On Good Product. But If Im Spending 2.5k On An Exhaust System Im Going To Hear Somthing About It. Whats Up Guys Help Me Out. Oh Yeah I Work At Stonebriar Chevrolet In Frisco Texas And Im Going To Talk To My Boss About Giving You Guys On Ls1 Tech A Wholesale Price On Stuff. If I Could Get That Would You Guys Buy. Im Pretty Sure We Will Ship Just About Anywhere. Let Me Know And Hit Me Up. Me Direct #214-472-6812

Kooks is a top notch header company dedicated to making LS1 powered vehicles more HP. My LS1 GTO picked up about 28 HP and 25 FT-LBS on the dyno before tuning. They fit extreamly well. And go in quite esially. About 3 hours to install.

You won't lose power with SLP's. Someone is blowing smoke. Kooks are top of the line for sure. FWIW, I'll be selling my 1 3/4 uncoated Kooks soon. Upgrading to 1 7/8 Kooks.

I have the slp. They fit great, look amazing and intall was a snap. You wont lose anything major going with slp over kooks. If your going blower in the future, id get the 1 7/8 headers to begin with, otherwise, the difference between the two doesnt start till the 450+hp mark. If your going to be building HP to or beyond that level, go with kooks, otherwise SLP will be fine.

I'm digging those stepped kooks myself but they are pricey. Kooks or ARH are supposedly the best headers for the GTO (I run the arh) but I wouldn't hesitate to buy the slp's..... or even the pacesetters if money is a factor but you do get what you pay for.

well I won't disagree that you do get a helluva markup but I think it's been proven that the pacesetters don't perform as well as the kooks, arh, slp, etc.
