Shifters
I'm new so take it easy on me.
So from what I see, everyone hates B&M, GMM and Billet ones are recomended. How about Hurst?
Or will the Camaro shifters work with the 06 GTO?

everyone hates b&m because they install it with b&m hardware.....lol i purchased grade 8 bolts and lock washers. used red loctite and sealed it to the tranny. i purchased the shifter for 75 bux. honestly been in a gto with a gmm and mine feels more precise. we have been banging the **** out of all week... hot laps at the track and its holding strong... best shifter for a gto imho.... thats just me
ps i also modified the spring assembly. ahhh its like a charm if you put it in first it wont move. no side to side no wander. every gear is crisp. if you miss a gear with my shifter you have to be a damn idot. so b&m in stock form = ****.... modified = ftw

Before I bought my GTO, I test drove a couple that had sloppy shifters, but the one I bought didn't. They all have the rubber isolated handle, however, which can lead to a spongy feel. I replaced the handle with a Lou's short stick, and I love the way it feels. If your actual shift mechanism isn't sloppy, just replacing the handle is a very cost effective upgrade.

I've read quite a few write-ups on ls1gto.com and alot of people are saying w/the Hurst it will occasionally pop out of gear. Also that once it's put in gear it feels as though it can actually be pushed a little further past where it should. I'm guessing that that is probably do to the stop screw, but am unsure.... I'm going w/the Billet Pro.
