first time down track with goat, not too happy. any ideas?
Well I made it to the track...
best run of the night was :
R/t: .258
60': 1.917
330': 5.450
1/8: 8.318
mph: 86.88
1000: 10.755
1/4: 12.808
mph: 110.17
on street tires, I feel she has mid 12's on a set of slicks...
I was hoping for alittle better times. and mph, it weighs 3940lbs. with me in it.. I believe the da here in KC is around 1,000ft. temps were in the mid 60's.there was a stock 2006 m6 gto there and he ran a best of 14.0 at 102.
there was a 2004 terminator, with smaller pulley, tune, exhaust, cai, said he was putting down 440 at the wheels. and he only ran a best of 12.6 at 110. and his next run same as mine.. 12.8 at 110mph. and he had a big set of dr's on there.
Im putting down 413hp/394tq. on a dynojet. with my mods. do you think it has mid 12's poss. low 12's with a better launch, and slicks or dr's.
I was leaving the line at around 2300 rpm's slipping alittle, until it got rolling then layed into it... had the street tires around 25psi.
any thoughts? oh yeah car is a m6

what was the weather like? humid? dry? know the iats? it does seem a bit off to me. i could of ran that time with my eyes closed on bolt ons only... i figure you should be trapping around a 114mph and clearing the 1/4 around 12.0-11.9 with that weight, power, gearing... now hows the driver mod? dyno sheet?
any wheel hop?
looking at the specs of the run i am thinking the car isnt pulling much the first 1/8 mile what was the psi on the front tires? do a bit of weight reduction.. air up the fronts to 40 and go at it again... i mean i dont want to be made fun of but i am pretty sure just my wing made a tenth difference.... haha never told anyone but hey i proved it myself. drop your mufflers axle back and see what happens... that gave me .2 and 2 mph with my setup
the time you took slipping then getting into it hard can cost you a tenth or two also... get drag radials and try again

i dont know about 12.5 i figure low 12s with a mild cam... i got down to 12.3 on drag radials with full bolt ons given my set up worked well together and lots of seat time.. just practice man... the mph is down though

it might be the da, I just found out were at around 1000 ft. elevation... Im not sure about the humidity. I'll see if it's on the timeslip. Im not sure. but it was cloudy, windy. mid 60's. before a storm/cool front.I didn't feel any wheelhop. I think I might have been to easy on the clutch leaving the line... but I was thinking the mph was alittle low. but maybe the weight...
front tires had 40lbs. in them, 25lbs. in the rears on yokahama's. avid's. 18" tires.
I will try alot more aggressive launch when I get slicks.. I'll see how that does. If I get mid 12's. I can live with that. full weight...

I'de get some 17" DR's for the rear or 15's. A M6 needs some sidewall, and get some Bags to. Lighten the car up on the day you plan on running it. It'll take less than a hour before you go to the track. Take off the front skid plate, remove the hood liner, plugs and FRC's. In the interior remove the back seat, and in the trunk remove every thing thats not bolted in. Air down the DR's to 18psi. When you launch bring the RPM's to around 3500 and on the last yellow let out the clutch evenly and roll into the throttle. It'll take some practice but 11's can be had.
