Bet with friend
2004 GTO 20,000 Miles
2004 A4
I know I will get beaten and bashed and told my mods are all wrong but a friend of mine (Lightning owner) bets I can't see 12's at the track. I however beg to differ and from my driver gut think I can pull not only a 12 but maybe a 12.7ish. Here are my mods bash away.
SLP Underdrive Pulley
GM Hot Cam with tune
Typhoon 85 MM
85 MM Throttle Body
AEM Brute Force CAI
Pacesetter Longtube Headers
Pacesetter midpipe NO CATS
Nitto 555's
Diablo Predator
SLP 160 Therm
Can I DO IT?? NOTE- I have the driver mod and consider myself above average.
Let me put my flame helmet on.

drag radials
take off in 3rd gear
brake stall it to around 900 rpms which is half the stall speed of the stock converter which our cars love with this suspension.
and def. you'll be in the 12s

I'm gonna say low 13's with a 2004 LS1 unless you go with a slightly bigger cam, get drag radials, and a pro dyno tune. The GM hot cam is fairly worthless, there are much better choices available even if you want to stay small. Also budget for valve springs and hardened pushrods.
