Ah, Chris. That sucks!!!! I never like to see a 14 minute video of a 30 minute race.
You were doing so good, too! Your driving is on line and very consistent. You continued to drive your line even when behind another driver who wasn't... all good!
Total bummer. Any diagnosis on the cause of the engine problem?
Hope to see you out there again soon.
Cheers,
Dean

Thanks Dean! I was actually going for the T-1 lap record...got within a second in qualifying on scrubs and matched that time on my 2nd lap of the race, car easily had 2 seconds in it with new tires No diagnosis yet other than my block has a hole in the side I think a Rod Bearing got knocked around a bit last year when I found a wall, and decided to come apart finally. NEW crate LS6 was ordered yesterday from SDPC and car is going to the shop next weekend so she should be ready in July (Sept regional @ infineon is on the list to do).
I actually filed a protest on him. The 300zx (Izzy) didn't agree with me bc "the driver is so nice"..don't know about you, but that's not a good enough reason to not file a protest on a driver (6.11.1, a, b, c, d on driver duties on track!). There's no reason to run one car off track right, and another off track left.
I'll definitely be seeing you out there this year, just decided to skip the hot months the hard way! lol

I agree with you on 6.11.1 - the stewards can figure out if he's a "nice guy" and decide how to handle it, but drivers have to know that they HAVE TO BE AWARE on track. If they can't do that, well, no matter how nice they are, racing isn't the sport for them.
Looking forward to racing with you in September.

per my class rules it's a stock crate motor (LS6) with LG headers. Laguna Seca has very strict sound restrictions so I had a pair of Burns Stainless dual trap mufflers to make sound. Normally I just run straight through the headers and x-pipe with no mufflers..
