Driving to track and back on Hawk DTC30/HP+?
Doing my first track events this weekend and will be running a dedicated Hawk DTC30/HP+ on Centric blank rotors combo. Will require a few hours of freeway driving to get to the track and back. Can I throw this combo on at home and drive to/from the track on it or will the low temp use damage the pads/rotors? Just trying to figure out if I will need to change out at the track or if I can do it at home beforehand. Thanks!

You'll be just fine with that combo. I used the same setup on a daily driver for years. They're dusty and the HP+ is loud, however I haven't had any problems with cold performance or eating rotors.
Still waiting to apply the Permatex FASTFATBOY recommended in the other thread. Curious to see if that will stop the noise on the HP+ in the rear.

If I ever feel like the DTC-60 isn't enough pad (not there yet) then I'll eventually give the 70's a shot. Curious to get a feel for the difference between the 60 and 70.

Drove 100 miles to the track with DTC30/HP+, did 5x20 min HPDE 1 sessions, drove 100 miles back to my parents, drove 100 back to the track, did another 5x20 min HPDE 1/2 sessions, then drove 400 miles home, drove to work today, no issues besides the noise on the street. Used the Permatex Ceramic that FASTFATBOY told us about and boy that stuff is super easy to apply. Will be posting a thread in the coming days with a recap of my first track experience including some GoPro video but the short of it was that I had never had that much fun in a car and I am absolutely HOOKED. Oh and I will have a chrs1313 ram air for sale to the drag guys as when pushing hard to stay on the tail of the second fastest HPDE 2 driver in a stripped down to Miata weight early 70s Porsche 911 with a 200hp flat 6 transplant that chrs1313 RA caused my car to overheat to 260+ briefly. Off came the chrs1313 RA radiator obstruction and some coolant and in went some DI H20 and water wetter and no cooling problems the rest of the weekend in 85-95F temps.
