Best multi-purpose tires?

If you need to stick with a 200 tw tire run either bfg rival s or Bridgestone re71r. The Bridgestone and BFG are the top two performing 200 tw tires. These will be you the best grip on the autocross you can have with a 200 tw street tire. They will become greasy after several hot laps on the road course. I would not use either of these tires for daily duties. The tread life is not good for street duty. If you need the best traction and don't care about tread life go with these. If you require more treat life and can give up, traction use a different tire. It is a balance. Good track tires will not have good tread life. Good street tires will not have good traction on the track.

If you are going to have just one set of tires I would not run the rivial or re71r. Unless, you not going to put a lot of street miles on them. The best way to go is have two sets of wheels and tires. Street and track. You are not going to be able to get the grip out of a true street tire for the track.

Michelin Pilot Super Sports are probably what you want if you're going to be doing mostly street driving and occasional autox/track use.
They have the wear quality and grip for the track.
