Aw ... shucks **digs toe in sand, kicks at a rock**
Tony gave me $500 to be a moderator here. I need some new brakes, so I decided I come over here and screw up this site as well ...
He asked for my credentials ... a resume, if you will.
So ...
I finished 4th in points last year in a DFW AX club, running ESP. Had to go to SM this year and was wasted .... I've been running with the local BMW high speed AX when I ran this year.
I've logged over 500 miles at Motorsports Ranch, 100 miles at Texas Motorspeedway ALMS track and 150 miles at Hallett in Tulsa. Looking at TWS in January.
I also work tech, grid and corners for the Texas Triathlon.
I've only been driving in the twisties for a little over a year and have found it most enjoyable ...
Oh yes, and I have a stack of timeslips from Texas Motorplex, Texas Raceway Park and North Texas Speedway. But we all know it don't take much of a driver to go straight .... <grin>
I also have Jeff Gordon's autograph ...
I have a '98 TA with 60K on the clock and a few suspension mods, most of which I bought blindly and wasted a lot of money in the process.
The motor/drivetrain is as it was when I took delivery in March of '98, save for a Raptor hood, clutch slave and Borla. I'm still on the stock clutch with no issues!
The brakes? Well, let's suffice it to say I've gotten the front rotor/pad swap down to about 45 minutes ...
Be nice to me, guys ...

I won't hold that against you.

Please don't .... hey he was right there and signing ****. What was I gonna do?
That was when he was with Bill Davis in the Baby Ruth car. You know, before he became a prima-donna.

Hey Mitch! Thanks for your 'help' today <img src="images/icons/smile.gif" border="0">
Quick question for ya - I have 13" Baer track kit on the front, what pads should I replace these with for mainly street duty?
I know I should know the answer to that, but I bought this kit used and didn't research it as much as I normally do.

Welcome aboard Mitch! Did you misunderstand me? I said $0.05 for being a moderator LOL. The check is in the mail! <img src="images/icons/smile.gif" border="0">
Now, go round up some diehard Auto-X guys. Hell, they can be from any type of car if you want. Just round 'em up and get them some topics to discuss.
Suspension geometries
best tires
track events
websites about road racing
shock settings
caster/camber adjustments
gearing ratios for road racing
heavy duty upgrades (oil coolers, etc..)
class descriptions
Just some ideas to start up to draw interest. I'm curious about all that stuff myself, I have no clue when it comes to Auto-X and road racing these cars.
