The '04/'05 TL's are great cars and they are pretty quick for what they are.

That guy must be smoking crack though if he's serious about racing you.

 

TL VS CTS or G35 would be a good race..but with a 03/04 cobra or LS1.... not a chance..

 

Don't forget about all the stickers down the side. Stickers are worth at least an extra 10hp

I had a coworker who bought a new TL, kept bragging how fast it was, and he was dead serious about racing me for $500. Then I told him that I dyno'd 287/310 (stock a4 with a lid). He said whatever, I'm still good to go when I break my motor in. Needless to say, he's been "breaking it in" for the last 6 months....

If he really wants to race you should set up a race for cash really quick, before he checks on the internet how much power your car makes....

by the way I rode in new ones and even though they have good numbers on paper, it just does not feel like it has any punch, unless you start revving it up there.
