I have a 4l80E full manual control box (think little black box)made by Jakes Performance, the box works 100% perfect, and is less than six months old, I just acquired a computer to control my transmission so this is no longer required. $120.00 shipped to lower 48.

I'm interested in one of those.
You are the first person that I've seen that has used one.
So how did it work? You shift it by moving the shifter, right?
Will it start in any gear selected? ie Can you start in second if you want like the old Fordomatics of the 50s and 60s?
What Im wanting to do is run a 4L80E with a carbed engine and just shift it manually.
I called Jake's once and ask them about it but whoever I talked to didn't really seem to know how well it would work in my situation.

That is correct start in any selected gear, and it holds the gear until you manually select the next gear. The gears are selected by moving the shifter. It would work perfect in your situation, the only other issue would be the torque converter clutch lockup (I have a small controller for this as well), and the speedometer hookup, the 4l80e uses an electronic speedometer. If you have an electronic speedometer, I have all the components to make it work.

 

So is the controller to lockup the TC included in the $120 price?
As far as the speedo I plan to just use the GPS.
