Assuming pristine condition and clean history (no trips to the mechanic/body shop), I'll make the offer of $17.5K delivered to my door in MI.

**EDIT** I'll meet you in Kenosha if you want.

I don't know what you've been smoking....but whatever it is, it must be some good $h!t.

I'll edit my offer. I have family-in-law in Kenosha. I could meet you there if you wouldn't want to make the trip out to MI. Same price. Let me know.

Why do people think you get $1.00 for $1.00 what you invest in a car with aftermarket parts? I keep telling everyone that it's evident when Lingenfelter Vettes, Mallett Vettes, or any other modified car is sold...the owners are LUCKY to get $0.50 on the $1.00 for aftermarket investments (I used the term "investments" lightly as it's 99% of the time a straight up loss). That car is worth $14K bone stock from a private party....straight up from the man. Go try and trade it in at a dealership and I bet they'll laugh and say I'll give you $11K for your 7-year-old car....

Of course the dealership won't give you anything for it. It's a dealership. They don't give a flip about what you do to it. That's why you don't see very many aftermarket cars on the lot. Because when they find a shmuck that is willing to take it up the *** and just give his car to them, they turn around and sell it for double that price. Good luck with the sale man.

97suprchrgd383... calm down buddy. When you do a KBB, you select a base model or z28 first.. hence why the top reads z28.... then if you look down in the selected optional equipment... youll see where it says "SS pkg". Its a list of stuff you check off.. then it shows up.

anyway.... nice car and goodluck with the sale

Sorry you feel cars are such good investments 97. Believe it or not, 2007 model years will be out in a few months, which makes this car 7-years old. If the owner decides to add aftermarket parts to it, that's his decision. But, you don't get $1 for $1 on those parts when you turn around and sell it. It's not even your car. Why are you getting so offended? I made what I felt was a close to reasonable offer (with a little padding because everyone always wants to negotiate). It's his choice if he wants to entertain it...so back off.

Easy guys, I've heard this argument many other times in other threads. Pheonix2001, thanks for the kind words on the car.
SSpdDmon, thats a descent offer but I have others Im considering that are a little higher than $17.5 right now. I'm aware $20k may be a little high for some or maybe not, but it's my car and if I want to ask $25k, I will. However true your philosophy on the value of aftermarket parts on a car affect its value may or may not be, you should keep them to yourself. The reasoning behind your offer is irrelivent to me and anyone else reading this thread.

I do understand you don't get $1 for $1 for aftermarket parts. That's why most people sell them off of the car, rather than on the car. You get more money this way. I'm just simply stating that if you spend the money for the aftermarket parts and put them on your car, why not try and make AS MUCH of it back, because there is still value there. Wouldn't you try to make it back? Sell it for $30k if you want too, it's your ride. I'm not offended, and it's not my car, but I would feel the same way about it if it were my car.

I just sold my 2000 SS w/35 k on it for 15,500.00 with mods in sig.My car was 98% flawless and made 422.3 rwhp.Might be a little high on the price but if you want it bad enough who cares.I just sold a 68 SS camaro for 19,500 that people were lowballing the **** out of me.I held my ground and the right buyer came by last night.
I guess what i'm saying is you'll probly pull 20K,maybe a tad lower.Goodluck!
