Default Gettin faster now

Well i have just finished a bunch of work on the camaro. It is still a stock bottom end with 90 thousand miles,Patriot heads, and cam motion cam.Using one stage of nitrous i was able to run a 6.36 @109 with a 1.31 sixty foot. The converter has to go back to be tightned up because it is blowing through in high gear. The air shifter wont even pick up the two three shift i guess because it is so high up in the revs.Tires still have to be screwed cause they are rotating one full turn on launch. It should be in the mid 5's soon as i get the converter back and spray a second stage.Better times coming soon..

haha sounds like it is pretty light weight then, just doing some comparing to my car and seems we are pretty close. I would be right there prolly quicker on 200 in my first stage as well. but converter probs could hamper that.

im at 3360 though with full interior.

great great runs. wish we had more of these stock block fast cars around

How big of a second stage are you gonna spray? Must be a big one to knock off almost 1/2 a second!

Nice times BTW

Sorry to hear that. Good luck with the new motor!

BTW what kind of tune up did you have in it when it popped? Jetting, timing, FP, plugs, etc????

Had 22 degrees of timing tr8's aftermarket fuel system. The car was great,it was all driver error. I figured out you need to turn on the water pump before making a pass>lol......

damn have you ever checked your plugs? that is a ton of timing based on what my car likes with a similiar setup. on a 150 we run 17 and it seems to be perfect.

weird. haha

Better slow down or your gonna blow the 404 up to.

Wrong plugs, to much timing and who knows what else.
When you turn the 2nd kit on **** gets complicated.

Default New motor is in

Well i got the new motor in the car and took it to the dyno on saturday. It killed the trans on the second pass but still had high gear so i went ahead and sprayed it anyways just to get the tuning done. It has low dyno numbers but this car allways is low on the numbers. It made 610hp and 561 ftlbs on a 200 shot. Motor passes were really low i guess because of the tight converter.I made 600 before on the stock motor but it has picked up a bunch of torque on the new motor. The tuner could see it has a restriction in the intake and it started to drop off by six thousand, and says there is alot left by getting a fast setup so it can breathe. So new times coming real soon....
