Thumbs up Full size truck is in the 9's!

A guy on the truck site with a RCSB 1500 Z71 just when 9.65 @ 142mph on a mostly stock set-up with practically no weight reduction at all. When I say mostly I mean there's alot of stuff that people take for granted that he hasn't touched, he's an engine builder by trade and he obviously knows what he's doing but his set-up is on the 'thrifty' side of things and he sure as hell knows how to make it work!

Here's vids of two of his passes...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_NzxKD30L8Y

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yuBAsxIBP38

What is stock to mostly stock...

He's running stock fuel lines, rails and FPR
Stock fuel tank
Stock truck intake
Stock TB
317 heads with some hand porting done by himself
stock PCV system
stock suspension with front T-bars all the way down, rear is a drop shackle, and removed the lift blocks.
Stock 10 bolt
Stock 4L80e tranny with a shift kit and blueprinted autotrack
Stock lifters
ONE BAR MAF TUNING!!
3.73 gears
Stock brakes (launches on them too, no trans brake!)
Weighs around 4900lbs dry

What was done to the truck...
Built 370 by himself
KBRacing Turbo kit
PT 88 t4 .96 a/r @ 20 psi
intank 255 walboro with an inline one outside the tank
60lb injectors
Meth
...and I can't think of much else!!!

definitely not that Sierra, that one is Flaco's "lil sis" truck... to his 8 sec race truck LOL... It also has a 370/88mm/80E setup and has been 9's but it 2WD

stock48's truck is a Z71, full stock power interior etc... DEEP 1.4x short times on basically stock suspension (meaning lots of stock parts, not just stock config) with e/t streets on all corners.

There's that, and that one is a 4x4 Sierra and the other is a 2wd Sierra, one is gutted with a cage and the other one could be taken to the dealership and unless someone looks under the hood you'd think it was stock.

That is another guy by the name of Flaco, different people. Flaco lives in Texas and Jarrett (the guy with the 4 x 4 sierra) lives in Colorado.

Oops, I get your hay hauler and lil sis mixed up I guess. I keep thinking your sierra has the chill box in the front seat but I guess it's the silvy that has that set-up.

id like to have a tow rig thats faster than the car on the trailer

one weekend at the track i watched a mid 11 second mustang roll off a trailer pulled by a lightning. the mustang broke (nitrous backfire shreading the intake) so the guy pulled the lightening in the lanes and tore off a 11.1X something on street tires. i must say i was impressed.

Yeah it was Sac, he raced down here in Fontana this last weekend and was fighting fueling issues all day. I got a ride in it and I have to admit it's hard to breath when it's under full acceleration.

Got any pics or details of your "shop truck"?
