Default Set another C6 1/4 record

Set a new C6 M6 record. My car has 100% stock driveline, No Z06/ZR1 rearend, suspension, or anything. Everything in my driveline is completely stock besides my clutch. No transmission mods, braces, etc. I have no weight removed, no skinnies, no special wheels, tires, skinnies, or etc. This is the exact way I drive the car everyday. I just remove 6psi in the drag radials in the back during the 90 mile round trip to the track(no, my front street tires were not aired up). I will never run skinnies, or slicks(blias ply) or even Hoosier DR(becasuse they are not streetable) tires on this car. Drop the top, hit the track on 93 gas plus meth injection, and head home with the top off. I see the former C6 record with a gutted car, built rear end, racing seats, etc. Never will be my car. I run my car as a street car. I believe that is the way cars going for ET records should go.

After many 9.8 runs, I set the new C6 M6(non Z06/ZR1) record. 9.68@148mph. I've got a new blower to go faster, thanks to Paxton and should get into the 9.30 area.

I'm happy with the time being a street car. People, as on CorvetteForum will say how slow the ET is compared to the MPH, but I accept that. They have never done it in a stock C6.

This record will be broke soon, but I hope it is by a 100% street trim car. No clutch dumps, line locks, slicks, skinnies, etc. I like to see people running fast the exact way they drive their car everyday. I've been a part of the "Fast" or "ET" list for 13 years on different sites and different usernames with Ford cars. I always find that people want to equate cars with slicks/skinnies/racing seats/trailer cars to full street cars funny for an ET list. I believe that is what money racing is for. Eitherway, I look forward to the competition.

Nice going.
You seem a little hostile. To each his/her own. How anyone wishes to race their car is fine by me. I say line up with anyone and see how you fair regardless of mods. It's funny you say your dr's are ok but hoosiers aren't. Goodluck, stay humble, and don't jinx yourself. Keep those et's coming.

To the OP: How is that car "stock"?

Oh, wait a minute, I see you're a Ford guy. Makes sense now.

Quick car nonetheless.

Wow, there are quite a few people here that have reading issues.

He said stock driveline. He meant stock trans/suspension. Car has a Paxton blower bolted to it. Its plastered all over his first post and his signature.

Excellent times, btw.

Now that you set a record, it's time to swap out the stock suspension/rear end

No, it's not exactly "plastered" all over. He just kept going on and on about how stock everything is. In his title and post, it says nothing about the car being a blown 402 (it says that in his sig only, and it doesn't even say what the car is, just a "2008 M6"...). He said that he has a blower that he plans to use to go faster, but not that there was one on the car during the runs...Quite misleading/confusing IMO (still very impressive record however).

Thanks, JR.

Boost only-9.81 was 12psi. Best MPH was a 149 and best 60ft was a 1.46 on 295-17 drag radials.

Spray-9.68. Only have 2 runs, manually turning it on at the top of second gear. Best MPH was a 148 and best 60ft was a 1.50 on 295-17 drag radials.

I'm not sure the spray helps much since I turn it on at the end of 2nd. It only added 50hp on the dyno, and we haven't tuned for it. We just made 1 pass and pulled 4* of timing. I think there is room for improvement.

I can only run 12's but try to act funny in the single digit section.
