Default ls1 driveshaft on third gen ?

Hey guys ive been looking for an aluminum driveshaft to put on my third gen and a guy here has one. But all i wanted to know is if the weight it has on the tranny yoke will make any difference once on my car? I know its just for balance but just worried about it since its going on a different car.

The driveshaft is "internally balanced" so to say. It can be put on any car.

Yea, it is a popular swap over a sock iron driveshaft, do it.

Just a damper for high speed vibration suppression.

Cool, any differences in power? I know it just helps raise your rpm's quicker but wanted to know if that mod actually helps out in anything else?

Well the WS6.com site said on dyno they gained 1.1 hp and 5.0 ft lbs, averaged 1.8hp and 5.5 tq, so it wouldnt feel any better but in a ALL BOLT ON run it would help rack up, not to mention the more power you are making the more you might gain.

Not really gaining power, just losing less to the wheels. I'm sure as you gain more power it will help though to reduce the overall loss.
