You difficulty need to consider getting a rearend if you are planning on making alot of hp and racing. Thats the only thing I regret not getting when I had the money. Then go with echo3313.

rear end, either 12 bolt or 9 inch and a cam, or sell your car and get a TA like you told me you wanted to.

Not if you go with Pacesetter headers/ory and a basic cutout or catback setup. But I was basing it on something like Kooks or QTP which are $800+ just for the headers... But theres a million different ways you can go with just exhaust.

But if it's an m6 and you plan on drag racing it at all with more-than-stock horsepower, I'd invest in a new rear.

keep in mind when you upgrade your rear end you are going to be adding more weight and taking away rwhp.
If I was spending 4 grand I would want to feel in power what I spent.

I went 8.30 in a 1000 ft on a stock 10 bolt
HUNTER02SS has over 900 rwhp M6 and a 10 BOLT.

I do think a 9 inch would be a great upgrade but not my first choice.

Honestly.....after thinking long and hard about it. (actually it only took me a few minutes to realize how hard jace left me after he did his heads and Cam setup)

I would recommend that you get H&C, Nitrous, and necessary tuning and fuel mods.

I dont know the exact specs on Jace's car, but its fast.

Buy a motorcycle..

$4K spent smartly could get you quite a lot..

Depends on how you plan to use the car..

If you're going to be launching it on slicks all the time, I'd start looking at a rear end and build up from there..

If it's going to be a street car and you don't plane on launching from a stop, I'd look into other things..

I am sittin' at just a lil' over $2200 for my full heads/cam swap.. I'll be able to do it easy for $2500..

However, if your car is stock, I'd start with the basics..

Lid, Ported TB, LS6 Intake, Long Tubes, Exhaust..

From there, I'd start looking at heads/cam..
