THE LAST GMMG BLACKBIRD EVER BUILT (19 of 19)
SOLD - SOLD - SOLD
2002 GMMG 35th Anniversary Blackbird #19 of 19
Why is this a very significant car in Pontiac History?
2002 was the last year for the TransAm.
Unlike the 2010 Camaro, no more TransAM’s will be ever be built.
TA’s are over & GM has pulled the plug on the entire Pontiac Division
The 35th Anniversary was a tribute to the 35 years of the Firebird/Trans/Am
Only 19 35th Anniversary Blackbird’s were built.
This is the very last Blackbird ever built. #19 of 19
It’s a Phase 2X / 475hp
Why is GMMG & Carl Black Pontiac (Kennesaw, GA) important?
GMMG built special TransAm Blackbird’s & Berger Camaro’s just like the Yenko cars of the late 60’s & 70’s
Like SLP Firehawks & Camaro’s, Shelby & Rousch Mustang’s of today only in much smaller build numbers
What is a Phase 2X / 475hp? .......... $8,030 upgrade
The engine in the TransAm started life as an LS1 / 325hp.
GMMG removed the engine & transmission from the car and did the following upgrades:
DyneTech Full Length Stainless Steel Headers with Cats
Phase 2X Custom Comp Cam
5.3 CNC Ported Race Heads, with gaskets & head bolts (flows over 315CFM)
Phase 2X Chrome-Molly Hardened push rods
S.P.E.C. Lightweight Flywheel
Phase 2X LS6 Valve Springs
Phase 2X Hand Ported Throttle Body
Phase 2X Computer Recalibration with 6,500 rpm Rev. Limiter
Lower Control Arm Relocation Brackets
Before and after Chassis Dyno
GM LS6 Plug wires, and NGK Spark Plugs
Red- Power Coated Calipers & Valve Covers
New O2 Sensors
Dual Hood Stripes, with 475hp Decal
475hp Air Box Sticker
ZO6 Clutch & Pressure Plate with Slave Cylinder & Rear Main Seal
