Have you checked the GMMG website? As I remember, they did all the Carl Black Firebirds.

If I remember correctly, I think there was an article in one of the back issues of GM High Tech shortly after that car came out. You may check with them, and you may ge able to order a copy of that issue.

nobody knew what mine was either. i realized something was different when i saw the stripe that said '380HP' on the side, thats when i did my homework.

HOWEVER...... i CANT seem to find anything that explains HOW they make 380, as opposed to the 325 of a normal WS6. i know they have catback exhaust, but that cant account for the extra 55hp. so what else is modified? year one doesnt say. anybody??????

What they don't tell you on the web sight is the CPU is reprogramed, underdrive crank pulley, Ported exhaust manifolds and Hi flow CAT converters. They also get an upgraded 373 gear in the rear. Hope this helps. Oh by the way NO PICS???????????????????????????

I dont know if you got your question answered about the power. The 380 comes strictly from the catback and lid, reason being is CB knew that the LS1's were underrated and then rated them properly with their new additions. Stock LS1's actually make 345-350 HP so a lid and catback can potentially add 30 HP to the crank.

From what I understand there were 12 year one FORMULA's made, 6 of which are the 380HP annivesary editions.

Not sure on the trans ams though, give GMMG a call and they can tell you. Thats what I had to do when I purchased mine, nobody else could tell me (not even CBP, the guy who did the blackbirds is no longer working there and nobody else has any clue as to what they are).

They are also tuned, and include some extras besides a catback and lid.
